But then well-butrin is different than other anti-depressants so I guess it's possible it can have the opposite affect. You should start feeling a difference after 2 or 3 weeks, although it could be up to 6 weeks. Good Luck."

just me replied: "The only way i think it could heighten your sex drive is if it helped your depression..........but as a norm it deminishes sex drive. as for working for depression it is said that it takes approxamately 6-8 weeks, for full effect. side effects will usually wear off, but if they persist for a long period of time talk to your doc."

Is it alright to take Guaifenesin while taking Bupropion? I take a generic of Wellbutrin SR and the pharmacist reccommended a chest decongestiant. Should I be worried about their compatibility?

I would not be quick to jump on a antidepressant, but i know with how i was when i was a younger, i wish i had been on one younger. You and your parents would just have to watch very closely for it making your depression worse or causing suicidal thoughts."

Give a call to the pharmacy you use, and ask to speak with the pharmacist. I've called Walgreens many times, and they have always been very helpful!"

Are there any adults on here today, that take Bupropion Sr 150mg ?? if your suppose to take 2 pills per day, would it hurt to take both at the same time ??

Kat replied: "well not necessarily hurt but, i take 300 mgs of bupropion xl which is the extended release form. if your doctor has prescribed to take 150 mgs twice daily you should follow drs order. you could ask him to switch you to the extended release that way you only have to remember to take it once a day. best of luck."

breezy b replied: "you should take them as prescribed by your dr. wellbutrin sr can cause sleep interruption, so you should take it in the a.m., but i take mine 1 in the a.m., & 1 before bed. but i have adjusted to that. 12 hours apart is probably optimal. taking them both at the same time is probably not good. in some individuals there have been incidence of seizures. i don't know what causes that; if it is too high of a dose, or the wrong medication, or a pre-existing condition, etc. before you go changing your medication, talk to the person who prescribes them; they know best."
